Horn Machine Tools, Inc. can provide a complete solution, including the bending machine, bender tooling and a Tube Measuring Machine. The Tube CMM contains software that is specifically geared towards Measuring, Correcting and Reverse Engineering tube shapes.

These non-contact measuring machines are easy to use and eliminate the need for check fixtures.

Features:

- Reverse Engineering

A tube sample can be quickly measured and the XYZ or LRA shape along with the cut length can be developed in minutes. A complete report including graphics can be printed and saved to file, then transferred to the bender.

- Non-Contact Measuring

The measuring machine has a non-contact, infrared measuring probe which never touches the tube. So highly polished, clean room type tubes or small delicate tubes will not be damaged or distorted in the measuring process. A variety of probes are available to match the exact application.

- Radius and Angles

The measuring machine can easily verify true bend radius and angles.

- Networking

The tube measuring machine PC and software runs in Windows 2000 and has a built in RJ45 network output jack. The information can be shared with multiple benders and other host computers. Bender interface capability for various machine manufacturers.

- Corrections

Once the new sample part is measured, the data is sent to the bender. The first part is produced and measured again, the machine then can develop a set of corrections, which are sent back to the bender. The second part is formed and will match the original sample part.

- Continuous inspections

Once the part is up and running on the bender, a series of inspections assures part accuracy and eliminates the need for hard check fixtures. An option is available for SPC data collection.

- Graphical Tube display

A wire frame display of the tube is shown on the monitor which can be manipulated into many different views. Several other screens show tube data values and error points.

- Latest components and software

Up to date Windows software and the latest PC hardware are used to give outstanding performance. The system is mounted on a premium work station table with mouse, keyboard, printer, power supply and leveling legs/casters for portability.
